TFELTP Disaster Response: December 3rd Floods and Landslide

In response to the devastating floods and landslides on December 3rd, our dedicated TFELTP team mobilized quickly to address the health needs of the affected community. Here’s how we made a difference:

  • Active Case Search: We reviewed diarrheal cases and conducted an active case search in both healthcare facilities and local communities to identify and assist those in need.
  • Community Health Worker Orientation: Our team oriented Community Health Workers on Event-Based Surveillance to enhance local monitoring and response efforts.
  • Focused Group Discussions: We held discussions to understand the barriers to the uptake of chlorine water treatment tablets, aiming to improve water safety in the area.
  • Antibiotic Dispensing Assessment: Our team assessed antibiotic dispensing patterns in local drug outlets to ensure appropriate usage and combat antibiotic resistance.

Our commitment to improving public health and safety in times of crisis remains steadfast. Together, we can build a healthier, more resilient community!
