In response to the devastating floods and landslides on December 3rd, our dedicated TFELTP team mobilized quickly to address the health needs of the affected community. Here’s how we made a difference:
- Active Case Search: We reviewed diarrheal cases and conducted an active case search in both healthcare facilities and local communities to identify and assist those in need.
- Community Health Worker Orientation: Our team oriented Community Health Workers on Event-Based Surveillance to enhance local monitoring and response efforts.
- Focused Group Discussions: We held discussions to understand the barriers to the uptake of chlorine water treatment tablets, aiming to improve water safety in the area.
- Antibiotic Dispensing Assessment: Our team assessed antibiotic dispensing patterns in local drug outlets to ensure appropriate usage and combat antibiotic resistance.
